By popular demand - a weekend Crafting Camp SCRAP... for grownups!
SCRAP PDX has been providing art materials and environmental education to children for the past 20 years.
Now it’s time for the grownups to have some fun.
There are only a limited number spaces left for our action-packed inaugural Camp SCRAP for Grownups.
Participants will learn creative skills that incorporate reuse materials during a weekend camp session hosted in SCRAP’s studio on SW Alder St. After an introductory crafty happy hour evening and facility tour (drinks included), the “campers” will spend Saturday and Sunday working on in-depth art projects while exploring the creative potential of discarded materials.
Instructor-led activities will include bookbinding, jewelry making with bicycle tubes, assemblage shrine building, and hand embroidery lessons including take home embroidery kits
With plenty of open crafting time and access to all the materials of the SCRAP creative reuse center store, the possibilities for expression are endless.

Do you value environmental sustainability and the power of creative expression? If you believe enough stuff already exists in the world and that we should all reduce our impact by buying less and enaging our creativity more, then become a SCRAP supporter by making a donation to further our impact on local communities.
We count on your generosity as an individual, foundation, corporate sponsor, or partner.
You feel the creative, environmental, and educational love from SCRAP. You return the love by adding to our resources so we can share with others. It becomes a circle of love that keeps giving – to you, to us, and to the entire community.
